Stu
Hi. I’ve been a very happy user of the aircon upgrade for several years now and it continues to make the daily drive experience of my ‘84 911 more enjoyable. I’m finally getting around to replacing the washer bottle and discovered the large bracket doesn’t quite fit. It fits over the 2 bolts in the wing and, while the top one fits fine, the gap between the bottom bolt and the wing is too tight to allow the bracket to slide over the bottom bolt. Is this a common issue and am I ok to grind down part of the bracket to allow it to fit? I think I’ll need ~5mm removed. Cheers, Stu
classicretrofit
Hi Stu This is the first time I have heard of this issue. I will check with the team and come back to you 👍🏻 Glad your A/C is all working great!
Jonny Retrofit
I cant see any issues with trimming the bracket. Is it tight on the wing mounting flange or on the outer panel of the wing? Do you know if the wings on your car are original or replacements?
Stu
Wings are definitely original. It's tight against the outer skin. I'll post a pic on Friday Good to know trimming is ok Cheers
