175 Amp Wiring - 1971 911E MFI

Howdy: 

1971 Porsche 911E Coupe is what I am working on in this example.

I have removed the current alternator but did take a few photos beforehand. 

This photo shows the wires as they were connected prior to removal of my original alternator. The black wire with a crimp spade connector (green outlined in photo) is my first question.

Where does this black wire with spade connector attach on the new 175 Amp alternator? 

Also added pic of my old alternator and where the black wire with spade connector previously attached (circled in green).

I'm going to assume this is the black (DF) wire that is cut off prior to removing the voltage regulator.

More info can be found in the Porsche service bulletin for updating a external regulator alternator to an internal. This was a procedure carried out at Porsche dealers when someone bought an early car into the workshop.

Thank you.  I figured the guy that installed it wired it that way for a reason.  But I can't figure out why.  I'll wire it with the blue to the lamp terminal and see what happens.
