Duane Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 (edited) Hi Johnny, I purchased the 74-89 front blade panel from Pelican parts. Upon initial testing I noticed one of my headlights wasn't coming on. After checking the white wire from my headlight switch to the panel, I noticed the terminal is not making contact to the fuse. If I connect the wire directly to the fuse top or bottom, I get a circuit (headlight comes on) but if I connect to the terminal it's dead. I think I may have a defective board. Please advise. Thank you, Duane Edited August 10, 2024 by Duane Quote
Duane Posted August 10, 2024 Author Posted August 10, 2024 It may be a grounding issue, I'll check grounds, but I guess my question on the terminal functionality is shouldn't the wire terminal pass through to the diode and to the fuse? Quote
Jonny Retrofit Posted August 14, 2024 Posted August 14, 2024 The terminal wont 'make contact to the fuse' since it is going through a relay. Here is the schematic for the relay portion of the circuit. Your white wire is connecting at T15. (Note that terminal T9 on the dip circuit bypasses the relay due to peculiarity of 1986 onwards models in the UK and Sweden - US cars do not use this terminal) Essentially, if you apply 12V to T15 ( which is the terminal labelled '1'), you should hear a click from the relay. If you don't, check your ground which is the gold plated mount hole to the left of the relays. Quote
