Jonny Retrofit Posted January 16, 2024 Posted January 16, 2024 Introduction The 'long hood' car fuse panel is electrically the same as the impact bumper version, less three fuses on the left hand side. The fuse panel is mounted vertically in the car by the left hand battery box. The preparation and installation method is the same as the later panel so follow the guide here. The differences are: Mounting The early panel has a stiff backing board included and is mounted to factory brackets on the inner fender. As per the later panel make sure that the gold plated grounding point (next to the relays) is properly grounded to the chassis. Lid The lid is made of folded acrylic and fits into 'teeth' in the edge of the fuse panel. If your lid is loose it can be adjusted by heating the bend corner gently with a heat gun and slightly overbending the side flaps.
